Hello smile

I'm Siobhan Curran/Kisa Naumova, and this is my weblog. I tend to write about stuff like crossdressing, Macs, code, cats, wine and Second Life, but in general it's just an ongoing conversation about all sorts of stuff. If you'd like to know a little bit more about what this all is, I recommend starting on this page which has a little bit of info on who I am, and what I'm trying to do — or you could dive into my five years worth of archives if you like.

Otherwise, feel free to close this box and explore...

Well now, today could be fun ...

I've been wanting to upgrade Erin to 10.3 Server for a long time, and today's the day I'm going to do it. I think it'll take me quite a while, and my site, email, and everything else will go down while I do it (and no doubt for hours afterwards while I get everything working again...)

...

Anyway, before that, let me just talk about yesterday. I've been promising Katie that I'd take her to Castlerigg Stone Circle in the Lake District for ages now. She saw the photo of me taken years ago sat on three of the stones that make a sort of seat, and she's been on at me ever since to take her there.

It's a beautiful place — the stone are on the top of a smallish hill, and you're surrounded by this amazing vista of the mountains.

Apparently, on the longest day of the year, as the sun sets, one of the stones stays warm — and not the one that's been in the sun the most. I can't remember where I heard this, or whether or not it's true. But I guess it's one of those legends that link stone circles to the summer solstice, and who am I to argue?

Anyway, piccies:

And I did a panoramic one. Not entirely happy with my stitching (it's early and my Photoshops skillz haven't kicked in yet) but here you go. I think it wraps round properly. The actually JPEG is about 800K, so download at your own risk...

...

Anyway, I have some backing up to do, then I'm turning the server off. All being well, I'll be back up this evening...

I've screwed up the Mail Server. Arse

Oh dear

I've also screwed up either MySQL, or PHP — one of the two...

Oh dear, oh dear — I've got addslashes problems...

You should remember the saying " If it aint broke then dont fix it" Works well for me

But it was broken I needed the Server to match the client versions of OSX.
