Hello smile

I'm Siobhan Curran/Kisa Naumova, and this is my weblog. I tend to write about stuff like crossdressing, Macs, code, cats, wine and Second Life, but in general it's just an ongoing conversation about all sorts of stuff. If you'd like to know a little bit more about what this all is, I recommend starting on this page which has a little bit of info on who I am, and what I'm trying to do — or you could dive into my five years worth of archives if you like.

Otherwise, feel free to close this box and explore...

Goth Joy

yay My new bodice turned up this morning  I think I only showed a few people online, so I'll post a picture of it here:

(quickly notes: No — that's not me, of course. I just haven't got the time tonight to be making myself up to take pictures, nor the time to make sure I've got all my makeup off before I go to work. I promise I'll take some pictures by the weekend )

It's gorgeous! And it fits perfectly!

I'll give a little plug for the shop I guess — it's at www.dracinabox.com, and they do all sorts of Goth clothing. I'm rather pleased with the black lipstick that I ordered too

I think it would be wrong of me to start running around yelling "I'm a Goth! I'm a Goth" just because I've started wearing stuff like this though — a bit like how I get annoyed when men who've never dressed before stick on a frock and declare themselves to be transvestite.

As with a lot of things, there is loads more to being a transvestite or a Goth than just wearing the clothes. Trannie is a state of mind — and the whole 'occulty' thing about Goth doesn't fit well in my head to be honest.

So, apologies to any Goths who may get annoyed with me for donning black lipstick. And apologies to those who prefer to see me in wedding dresses. Like I said before, I'm just experimenting with things that suit me. I'm not trying to change my personality.

...

Just very quickly, I've been playing around with reformatting the diary for print today — here's the first draft. I'm not sure about the faux-real elements (the lines and the sellotape) but I'll work on it...

Are you Jed? Are you really? And you thought that was something you'd like to share with the class did you?

Why do I bother? Really?
