Hello smile

I'm Siobhan Curran/Kisa Naumova, and this is my weblog. I tend to write about stuff like crossdressing, Macs, code, cats, wine and Second Life, but in general it's just an ongoing conversation about all sorts of stuff. If you'd like to know a little bit more about what this all is, I recommend starting on this page which has a little bit of info on who I am, and what I'm trying to do — or you could dive into my five years worth of archives if you like.

Otherwise, feel free to close this box and explore...

Ten-Second-Shuffle

D'ya know, it's not easy doing self-portraits...

I've been dying to do a shoot ever since I got (a) my new camera, and (b) my new bodice. The difficulty lies in the way that the Canon 300D sorts out the focusing and the aperture/shutter speed — it does it just as it's taking the shot.

It also doesn't let you use the LCD display as a view-finder.

Normally, I connect the Ixus up to the TV, and I use the TV to see what I look like just before the self-timer goes off — but no joy with the SLR.

What I need, obviously, is a remote control

Here, here's the best of the last batch:

Not too bad I guess — but my face was out of focus in the original which is why I've had to shrink it down so much.

And here? Well, it's so hard to frame a shot.

Nice bodice though

Anyway, I'm going to jump back on the Ixus for a few more — no point in wasting a perfectly good make-up session. Maybe I should try and get Katie to take some shots with the SLR — that might work...
