I'm Siobhan Curran/Kisa Naumova, and this is my weblog. Stripes v2.0
Um, I was thinking about some of the pictures I took last night — the streaky ones out of the window of the train. One of the most common starting points that I see students working from when they first start to explore abstract photography, is to take pictures of moving lights.
It's a classic theme — car headlight trails, scenes from moving objects, that kind of thing. I guess the initial reference is Koyaanisqatsi — the scenes shot by Ron Fricke of the moving traffic is still stunning, even in this day and age.
But what can you do with images like that? They're all over the place.

Sorry — ignore me, I was just in a grump because I should have checked the mount on my camera before I bought the extension tubes ... however, just there now, about 2 minutes ago, the remote controller turned up in the post. And it's fab!
It more than makes up for any extension tube trauma
