Hello
I'm Siobhan Curran/Kisa Naumova, and this is my weblog. I tend to write about stuff like crossdressing, Macs, code, cats, wine and Second Life, but in general it's just an ongoing conversation about all sorts of stuff. If you'd like to know a little bit more about what this all is, I recommend starting on this page which has a little bit of info on who I am, and what I'm trying to do — or you could dive into my five years worth of archives if you like.
Otherwise, feel free to close this box and explore...
Turbulent nights
I dunno, what exactly did we do to deserve this?
4am this morning, I woke up to the sight of Kath sticking her head out of the window, accompanied by a relentless BANG BANG BANG. The noise went on for ages, and was really really loud ![]()
At first, I thought maybe someone nearby was being a silly-bugger, but it became clear after a while that some workmen were using a pile-driver on the railway line. At 4am on a Sunday morning!
Bastards ![]()
It took me quite a while to get back to sleep, even after it stopped. Actually, it didn't specifically stop, it just got further and further away.
I wouldn't have minded if they warned us it was going to happen — but there's nothing in the local press about it. I guess they must just have been doing some emergency repairs to the West Coast Maniline — and 4am was the only time of day when there are no trains using it ![]()
Anyway, it seems we weren't the only two to have an interrupted night. As well as hearing my neighbours get up and go out the front of their house to see what the noise was, a couple of friends came round earlier and told us the sorry tale of a drunk student trying to break their door down at 12.30am last night.
Seems the guy got the wrong house
Asshole
The police came and took him off to the cells to sleep it off, which, quite frankly, he bloody deserved. He may have made a mistake, but that's no excuse to scare the crap out of two friends of mine, especially when they're two of the loveliest people in the world.
So, the point of today's rant is this: No-one got much sleep last night. It seems the numpties were in control for a short time.
Oh yeah, and I've got a cold — and I don't think my coughing fit from 5am to 6am helped matters much either
