Hello smile

I'm Siobhan Curran/Kisa Naumova, and this is my weblog. I tend to write about stuff like crossdressing, Macs, code, cats, wine and Second Life, but in general it's just an ongoing conversation about all sorts of stuff. If you'd like to know a little bit more about what this all is, I recommend starting on this page which has a little bit of info on who I am, and what I'm trying to do — or you could dive into my five years worth of archives if you like.

Otherwise, feel free to close this box and explore...

Tall, Dark Stranger for hire

(Or something like that )

I had a really good one last night — I've never been in Scotland on New Year's Eve before, and I must report, they know how to do it  We were dancing in the street with a piper just after midnight.

(I say "we" I mean everyone except me — every time I've been at a dancing event in Scotland, someone shouts out the name of a dance, and they all leap into action. I think they're born knowing how to do The Gay Gordons )

Being a tall, dark person, I'm usually quite in demand just after midnight on New Year's Day. It's traditional that the first person to set foot in your house in the new year must be tall, dark, and carrying a lump of coal (plus shortbread and whiskey apparently)

I had no coal, just a lump of peat

Anyway Kath and I got to bed really late last night — and this morning, we drove (through horrible weather) back down south(ish). So I'm going to take it easy tonight. I think I've earnt it

(Apologies for what may be the worst bit of Gaelic ever BTW — I just didn't want to start the year by being all predictable. Although, actually, saying Happy New Year in Irish is probably very predictable of me...)
