Hello
I'm Siobhan Curran/Kisa Naumova, and this is my weblog. I tend to write about stuff like crossdressing, Macs, code, cats, wine and Second Life, but in general it's just an ongoing conversation about all sorts of stuff. If you'd like to know a little bit more about what this all is, I recommend starting on this page which has a little bit of info on who I am, and what I'm trying to do — or you could dive into my five years worth of archives if you like.
Otherwise, feel free to close this box and explore...

Now then, I have nothing to do with Lancaster University. Nothing at all. Nada. Apart from having been kicked out of there back in the early 90s that is...Despite that, I found myself this morning, sat in Lancaster Priory Church, at a service for the installation of the new Chancellor of the University, Sir Chris Bonnigton, followed by the installation ceremony itself at Lancaster Town Hall.
Which is not bad, for someone who got kicked out, I think you'll agree ![]()
Anyway, after the service, we had to walk from the church to the Town Hall — right across town, so the police held up the traffic on the one way system while hundreds of us 'processed' through town.
I felt rather special
It's not every day that the police hold traffic up for you ![]()
Had I been in a car at the time, I would probably have felt differently ![]()
No horses
Funny how you can walk past something over and over again, and not notice it. This is a sign over the archway at Sun Street — just behind Barclays Bank. I must have walked under it a thousand times and not noticed it was here. Not sure what it said originallyNah, we didn't bother
(At least, I didn't anyway) We went to the Sunbury Coffee House and had sandwiches and cake. Which was why I was on Sun Street, incidently.
I have no idea what you call a knight's wife — "Lady"? Or maybe just Mrs Bonnington.
It's Lady. If the wife is a Dame though the husband stays just plain Mr. Doesn't seem fair to me.

hey lovin; your blog title! away to read further into your blog, looks all very exciting ![]()
Well Siobhan, I tried Illustrator today as you suggested and resolved to save it for special occasions after trying the tutorial — it's got more menus than a multi-ethnic takeaway but you can draw great stuff if you can work it out. I think you would need a visual artist's mind a-la-Siobhan to make best use of it. I find Paintshop gives more options when you're mixing in bitmaps because you can pick stuff inside a bitmap more easily but Illustrator is much better for the rest. p.s. It's nice to see CB's wife is a Laydeeee too.

Hey Missfee, do you see what I did there? I took a word — manifesto — and made it a bit funny by sticking a 'tr' in place of the 'm' — genius eh?
I am such a wit...

8.40pm: Siobhan is feeling belligerent*
Did I mention that (a) we were |<------------->| this close to Lord Winston today, and (b) apparently we were on the telly?

Show Me Your Dock
Just out of interest — what's in your dock? This is mine... not much out of the ordinary — just the last few: Cocoa MySQL (Which I use to trim things up here), Mouse Exposé and in the middle, 1001 — so I can upload shit to Flickr without worrying about bandwidth (resize before upload ... sweet)
I'm no Mac-fan
but my Windows QuickLaunch bar contains Macromedia HomeSite, Photoshop, Windows Explorer, Firefox, WinAmp and Outlook (at work)/Thunderbird (at home). Outlook isn't optional at work!
Did anyone else take the "Sex ID" test at http://www.bbc.co.uk/science/humanbody/sex/index_cookie.shtml
I came out smack-bang in the middle, so it seems my brain is neither 'fish nor fowl'.
Whether this says more about me or the test is anyones guess — interesting though.

Sorry, that last address should have read: http://www.bbc.co.uk/science/humanbody/sex/add_user.shtml

who is sir winston?
Isn't he the guy that pioneered IVF research, before the BBC decided he was very camera-friendly (in a sort of SuperMario way) and put him on every biology-related show they could cook up?
Ah yes, he is.

Ah, but did you get to take tea with Mrs. Vice-Chancellor and Mrs. Sir Christian?
[What is the title of a knight's wife, anyway?]
