Hello smile

I'm Siobhan Curran/Kisa Naumova, and this is my weblog. I tend to write about stuff like crossdressing, Macs, code, cats, wine and Second Life, but in general it's just an ongoing conversation about all sorts of stuff. If you'd like to know a little bit more about what this all is, I recommend starting on this page which has a little bit of info on who I am, and what I'm trying to do — or you could dive into my five years worth of archives if you like.

Otherwise, feel free to close this box and explore...

Siobhan's Big Exciting Trip To London

Well, it's exciting for me anyway.

Have you packed your passport?

How nice of them to provide a purple zone, just for you.

That was one of the worst coffees I've ever had. Virgin catering is shit.

Grrr

Grrr

Yeah I hate it when the trains plumment down a vertical incline like that too. It doesn't help when the guy in the next seat on a quiet zone is listening to a walkman. But I suppose it drowns out the screams.

Posh Coffee

Posh Coffee

That's better

London's quite cool really

London's quite cool really

I'm just having a coffee and then I'm going to see April

Liverpool Street station. Used to work just round the corner from there... Sadly I missed the day that Mansun decided to throw something like £20,000 in fivers onto the concourse for their video to "Taxloss" (sigh)

Ginger

Who owns the hand with the looooooong fingernail?

P.S. You put that train pic the right way up, making my comment kinda stupid. Typical.

Being prepared

Being prepared

...especially for me  (at least, I like to think so)

ahhh that long fingernail, specially prepared for accurate Dr. Evil impersonations no doubt....wait a moment, I recognise that cushion in the background. Thats that sushi place on wardour street, isnt it?

Used to work opposite Liverpool Street Station too. The firm I worked for is now Cameron McKenna

...that's as maybe Mr Virgin Coffee, but I'm betting that no matter how hot you are, you're still going to taste like shit

Now it all makes sense — "Caution when leaving: you'll have to pass through Milton Keynes."

Sitting At Home

Alll in all, that was quite fun  There's a slight frisson of danger when blogging like that — a dive into the unknown ... have any of those pictures actually appeared or do I look really silly?

Becky, I'm sorry about rotating the image  it was a very very funny comment and I totally ruined it

What I'm finding rather weird right now though, is that after having sat skew-wiff (it's a word ) on the train for the past three and a half hours (or so), sitting here in my studio, I'm finding myself uncontrolably sliding to the left. As if the inertia is still coarsing through my veins.

I have had a very very cool day  And apparently, I need to do that at least once a month. What I must do, is try and make sure that my monthly trips to London miraculously coincide with Transmission

Jo,

Have you packed your passport?

I only need to do that when I'm going from Lancashire to Yorkshire

Kris,

How nice of them to provide a purple zone, just for you.

I know — unfortunately some other people seemed to think that they could sit in my bit

D,

the day that Mansun decided to throw something like £20,000 in fivers onto the concourse

They did that today too. Shame you weren't there. This time they threw five £20,000 notes...

(ignore me — that was a crap attempt at humour)

Becky,

Who owns the hand with the looooooong fingernail?

That, my dear, would be April

Sushi person,

Thats that sushi place on wardour street, isnt it?

I have no idea. April took me for a wander

Rachel,

Used to work opposite Liverpool Street Station too

You poor thing — it seemed awfully noisy and dirty.

Kris,

"Caution when leaving: you'll have to pass through Milton Keynes."

Shame they don't also warn you about Wigan, Warrington, Crewe and (of course) Preston

It was a strange sign that — on the door out of the gents in the Sushi place. Neither of us could quite work it out.

Having said that, at one point in the evening the sushi-conveyor-belt exploded. So maybe they meant that?

PS

I was right about the coffee. "Shit" doesn't even come close to describing it. If only I knew someone who worked in the catering bit on Virgin Trains ... I'd have words with them

"You poor thing — it seemed awfully noisy and dirty." — you're right, it was and I'm sure still is noisy and dirty, but working for that company was one of the best jobs I've ever had, even if the money was crap the experience was so worthwhile... and you can't beat the buzz of working in London.

Moving to Lincoln was a MAJOR culture shock, but you get accustomed to it, and London's no place to bring up children unless you want them streetwise by two-and-a-half.

Been in London briefly on a trip to Italy, (well Heathrow anyway en route from New Zealand ) looks like a really cool place, might visit it properly one day. Nothing worse than shit coffee either, I agree, specially for someone like me thats a coffeholic. Anyway did you buy much there?? I hear its great shopping

yeah that sushi explosion was dramatic, the belt reached critical mass, alarms went off, geeks in white coats with glasses and clipboards scurrying around with screwdrivers muttering to themselves, everyone was in shock, the paramedics came and I was first in line for the sedatives and free nigri (of course). And then it was all hands to save the remaining sushi. I think forensics arrived just as we were leaving. Hot tip — never sit at the end! I'm always cautious when leaving now...after all...you never know...

And it was on Wardour street — I was being too obtuse with my secret identity I think.....
