Hello
I'm Siobhan Curran/Kisa Naumova, and this is my weblog. I tend to write about stuff like crossdressing, Macs, code, cats, wine and Second Life, but in general it's just an ongoing conversation about all sorts of stuff. If you'd like to know a little bit more about what this all is, I recommend starting on this page which has a little bit of info on who I am, and what I'm trying to do — or you could dive into my five years worth of archives if you like.
Otherwise, feel free to close this box and explore...

Three Swans

You can just see two swans on the left of the shot, going down the Lune, while another one is coming across the aquaduct ![]()
Aw, little duckling

Tish

No-one ever believes me that Tish's territory stretches up to the Castle, in fact, I was just saying this to Kath when I heard him meowing from the field by the Castle

That makes sense — the bit about them being like foxgloves. So much for my "I've found a new species" excitement...
Was it early in the moring? It almost looks like your pictures are engulfed by some kind of glowing fog! ![]()
Geena
well seems my reply disappeared, thats the second time so is it a glitch or something?
Geena, no — it was late afternoon. I haven't sussed the camera out on my phone properly ![]()
Lana, I don't think so — I'll check it out in the morning ![]()
Thanks Siobhan, what Id said was theyre awesome pics, and Ive seen some of those aqueducts that are still around Italy, good examples of the Roman era
Not quite sure if Jacob is actually dancing, or receiving major osteopathic manipulation... ![]()
Still, at least his bad back will feel better this morning.
Lana: I don't know if you meant the Lune Aqueduct is Roman, or based on a Roman one, but it's not; it was opened in 1797 to carry the canal.
I've passed (and photographed) the Aqueduct so often that
a) nowadays I only stop if the light's really good and
b) I'm no.1 on Google for 'Lune Aqueduct' ![]()
I have some photos, yet to be published, of the aqueduct's piers — I really like the way the mortar has weathered to form not just stalactites but whole 'limestone' flow structures.
Thanks Siobhan, looking forward to more pics of the area. Yes I did think the Lune aqueduct looked Roman, interesting that others copied the architecture.
Guess Im biased being from Italian parentage. However one day Id love to see some of the countryside in England it looks beautiful. New Zealands a lovely country as well and some parts are also very English.
Dohhh sorry I meant thanks NRT, just as well I reread that.

I think the flower is a monkey flower ( Mimulus luteus and Mimulus x robertsii) part of the figwort and foxglove family found by streams in Northern England
