Hello
I'm Siobhan Curran/Kisa Naumova, and this is my weblog. I tend to write about stuff like crossdressing, Macs, code, cats, wine and Second Life, but in general it's just an ongoing conversation about all sorts of stuff. If you'd like to know a little bit more about what this all is, I recommend starting on this page which has a little bit of info on who I am, and what I'm trying to do — or you could dive into my five years worth of archives if you like.
Otherwise, feel free to close this box and explore...
Twenty Four Hours
There's a rule, apparently, in email correspondence, that if you write an email that has its root in emotion , you should wait for 24 hours before you send it. Just to make sure.
That's what I'm doing tonight. With the added bonus of being able to run away to Leeds the next day if it all goes horribly wrong ![]()
Siobhan, I'm really sorry you weren't able to make it to Laura Handbag's birthday bash in the end Siobhan. It was a great evening and I was able to catch up with a lot of folks I hadn't seen in ages. There was an amazing huge pink handbag shaped cake which you will no doubt see pictures of sooner or later. Did you manage to get the rendering finished in time?
Good luck with the 24 hour thingy too. Patience may well be the best course of action!

PS — apparently "thingy" is dubious spelling
That 24-hour rule is great — I didn't even need 24 hours, I knew the moment I read it through this morning that it was a Bad Idea™ to send it, and now, my dignity is intact, and I can spend the day going about my business without constantly checking my email to see if I made a fool out of myself ![]()
...
I'm really sorry too Sarah — I was on the verge of deciding to come down the other night, but in the end, I just wasn't able to
I'll look forward to seeing the pictures.
I did manage to get the render done in time to get it to Laura yesterday morning BTW — it was touch-and-go, but she got it apparently.
I hope she liked it ![]()
...you should wait for 24 hours before you send it.
Didn't know about that one, but it makes 'common' sense (of which I have none). I will remember it.
that is a rule i should keep in mind!
Reckon the 24hr rule for email responses should be one of life's golden rules! In fact, why not say 72hrs if only to play catch-up, or have I missed the point? ![]()
That would be a "Siobhan is crap at answering her mail" dig then would it Rachel? ![]()

Good rule, take it from one whos very impulsive and often makes a big arse of herself, good luck then
