Hello smile

I'm Siobhan Curran/Kisa Naumova, and this is my weblog. I tend to write about stuff like crossdressing, Macs, code, cats, wine and Second Life, but in general it's just an ongoing conversation about all sorts of stuff. If you'd like to know a little bit more about what this all is, I recommend starting on this page which has a little bit of info on who I am, and what I'm trying to do — or you could dive into my five years worth of archives if you like.

Otherwise, feel free to close this box and explore...

Two Screenshot-Based Things

1: Daleks At High Altitude

Intruder

So I'm high above The Port, marvelling at Angrybeth Shortbread's new 'avatar-reacting musical thingy' when we're interrupted by a familiar foe...

Concentrate your fire!

...fortunately, I have guns

Mwah ha har :ninja:

2: Free Updates == Joy

Elgato Full-screen EPG

My EveTV just keeps getting better

Version 2.3 now comes with a Front Row-esque full-screen menu system. It's not quite as intuitive as Front Row (at least, using the remote isn't — perhaps if I had an Apple remote it would be), but it's a bit slick

The irony of tonight's Channel 4 schedule was worth highlighting, I thought

2.3 doesn't crash as much either and it's Universal, which is obviously more relavant for me...

Why is that Dalek wearing a cel shaded cube as a hat? Dalek fashion? surely as unlikely as Dalek poetry...

Ah, that's Beth's Really Cool Thing™. WHen you walk through it (or jump, or fly) it plays music depending on where you are and how high you are, and it leaves a trail of cubey prims in your wake.

where are all these cool places in SL, I dont know any

Oh my... channel 4 seems to to cover all the bases, fiction of a reality show followed by a reality show filled with phony people.

Why is that Dalek wearing a cel shaded cube as a hat?

Maybe he'd forgotton to unpack his disguise before wearing it. I've suffered SL's "box on head" syndrome many times, I'm sure it happens to Daleks too.

Yes box on head Syndrom is a real Nubie trait especially ones who dont listen to instruction, left one Nubie wandering around wearing one for a good while before he begged for help
