Hello smile

I'm Siobhan Curran/Kisa Naumova, and this is my weblog. I tend to write about stuff like crossdressing, Macs, code, cats, wine and Second Life, but in general it's just an ongoing conversation about all sorts of stuff. If you'd like to know a little bit more about what this all is, I recommend starting on this page which has a little bit of info on who I am, and what I'm trying to do — or you could dive into my five years worth of archives if you like.

Otherwise, feel free to close this box and explore...

Speaking Of Millions

I've mentioned, in passing, a couple of times now that I've got myself a new job, but I've not said what it is. All I've let on about it so far is that it's something to do with Second Life — leading a couple of people to wonder if I've become a Linden or not.

I haven't¹

What has happened though, is that about a month ago I got contacted by Millions of Us who, on the basis of seeing some of my work...

Burning Life (Tree)

(Which I totally forgot to include in my list yesterday)

...have got me working for them as a contractor

So, basically, I'm about to start working alongside some incredibly cool people, doing incredibly cool things

You have no idea just how made-up I am about this. It's not about the money (although that's a rather nice benefit), it's the thought of actually being involved in something — rather than watching from the sidelines like I normally seem to find myself doing.

If you've been following this weblog for a while, you'll know that one of my greatest 'irks' is that a lot of the time, I don't feel like anything I do has any contribution to the greater 'sphere'. Partly due to the underlying theme of what I write about (which, admittedly, is quite rare these days), but more so to do with my inbuilt inability to ever actually boast about and promote the things I do, I often feel that anything that Kisa, Siobhan, or even Graham does or says ends up bouncing off the vacant walls of a tiny echo-chamber.

But just recently, things have been starting to get better on that front. As well as working for Millions of Us, I'm finally starting to feel like the work I'm doing in Leeds is getting noticed.

You know, it's about time I started feeling good about myself

¹ I was casually daydreaming the other day, wondering what name I'd choose if I did become a Linden. "Kisa Linden" doesn't trip off the tongue that well, and "Tranny Linden" seemed a bit rubbish, so I decided that given the chance², I'd be "Abstract Linden"³.

² Not that that's likely any time soon

³ Wouldn't it be great if there was a Liaison called "Scouse Linden"? They could wade into resi-disputes saying "Calm down! Calm down!"

Quatre Cents Dix-Neuf

Bonjour,

Attente. Me laisser vous arrêter là mon ami. Vous n'êtes pas Felicite Decao, vous êtes un 419 inondateur qui ne sait pas quelle langue je parle

Congratulations on the job. Really hope it's the start of bigger and better things for you hon.

Speaking of Millions

Je ne sais pas le dire en français.

So, I'll try English (American)...

I think it's awesome. Congrats. This is the type of 'possibility' that finally pulled me into SL to begin with. I have been inexcusably absent lately, I know.

(but I do have a fat L$ balance)
