Hello
I'm Siobhan Curran/Kisa Naumova, and this is my weblog. I tend to write about stuff like crossdressing, Macs, code, cats, wine and Second Life, but in general it's just an ongoing conversation about all sorts of stuff. If you'd like to know a little bit more about what this all is, I recommend starting on this page which has a little bit of info on who I am, and what I'm trying to do — or you could dive into my five years worth of archives if you like.
Otherwise, feel free to close this box and explore...
Snapshot_001
Lookie what I found buried on my hard disk — the first ever snapshot I took in Second Life.
8th of September, 2005. Me walking through Steiger with a little guy called Yip Yip who got attached to me somehow.
I still have those pigtails ![]()
It was a really weird time for me — I'd broken up from a long-term relationship a few days previously ... just as SL came into my life, and turned out to be the perfect place to escape into.
In RL, I was crying for days, but in SL I was new, I was excited, and I was free.
S'funny really, looking back at my wide-eyed gawping of what this new world was. A lot has happened in the (nearly) two years since, and even though I wouldn't want any of those things not to have happened, I'd love to go back to that road, with Yip Yip, in my default skin knowing some of the stuff I know today.
Or rather, I'd love to send an Alt back in time to meet me on that road, and tell me that everything was going to work out just peachy ![]()
Experimental Downtime
Like I said the other day, the whole BT snafu means that I'm going to have to change my IP address. So, from later on this evening (probably about midnight if I don't get too drunk and pass out beforehand¹) I'll be online, but my blog (and email) won't be. It'll just take the internets a few hours to catch up and re-index themselves.
I'm hoping that the new account will be a bit more stable than the one I'm currently on, and that those nasty days when I'm offline completely without warning will become a thing of the past...
...but I bet they won't ![]()
¹ Yes, I'm a bit drunk already. And I'm going to completely reconfigure my network in this state. Brilliant, eh?

Hi ![]()
Not as pretty as my old IP, but hey
If anyone finds themselves as 81.168.114.66, give it a hug from me OK?
