Hello smile

I'm Siobhan Curran/Kisa Naumova, and this is my weblog. I tend to write about stuff like crossdressing, Macs, code, cats, wine and Second Life, but in general it's just an ongoing conversation about all sorts of stuff. If you'd like to know a little bit more about what this all is, I recommend starting on this page which has a little bit of info on who I am, and what I'm trying to do — or you could dive into my five years worth of archives if you like.

Otherwise, feel free to close this box and explore...

Auntie Siobhan

tagfamily

Just had a text off my little brother — his wife gave birth to a little boy yesterday evening

How weird — my little brother is a dad. And my dad is a grandad. And I'm an uncle aunt.

I'm charging my phone, and them I'm going to ring them and find out what they're calling him.

Congratulations!

Carolyn Ann

Awwww! Congratulations to all concerned

Yaaaay — congratulations!

When you say little brother, he is actually a grown up isnt he?

Heh, yes  But in my head he's perpetually twelve.

Congratulations. It's great being an aunt, there are so many noisy toys you know for today's infant.

Indeed. My intentions are to become "Cool Auntie Siobhan" — loved by the child, hated by the parents

So you'll be being him pink baby grows then

Congrats!

Drum Kits go down well... my goddaughter loves hers. Parents aren't too keen.

I don't think I need to go to such lenghts. My brother just rang me, and I heard the little bugger screaming in the background.

It appears he's noisy enough on his own without my drun-kit-induced help

So you'll be being him pink baby grows then

I will be instilling in him a healthy contempt for gender stereotypes as soon as he leaves America

(Not because America has gender stereotypes, of course. Just because he's too far away over there)

His first slightly naughty limiricks might make a nice gift for say his second or third birthday. Even if he doesn't understand the meanings, he'll love the power it has to send his parents into embarrassment. And it will endear you to him forever.

Yay, nice one.

My "little" brother just got married in his home town... Mexico. So I'm now a brother-in-law, and fully expect to be an uncle before much longer.

I can't use the female nouns for myself, even as a joke they just feel wrong.

You'll be like my Aunt on my dad's side. She wasn't married for a long time, got married, is working on the divorce and hasn't had any kids. Hence, I get gobs of money and such at birthdays and Christmas because she's got no one else to spend it on.

She's kinda like the black sheep of my dad's very white, conservative, southern baptist family. I think she's my favorite of the whole side. Including my dad.
