Hello smile

I'm Siobhan Curran/Kisa Naumova, and this is my weblog. I tend to write about stuff like crossdressing, Macs, code, cats, wine and Second Life, but in general it's just an ongoing conversation about all sorts of stuff. If you'd like to know a little bit more about what this all is, I recommend starting on this page which has a little bit of info on who I am, and what I'm trying to do — or you could dive into my five years worth of archives if you like.

Otherwise, feel free to close this box and explore...

A Race Against Nature

This morning, I was rather taken aback when putting on my jeans, to discover that they were soaking wet.

"I wonder why these are soaking wet", I muttered. "Perhaps it's got something to do with me spilling a pint of blackcurrant squash on them when I was really pissed last night?".

I only have one pair of jeans. Well, actually, that's a lie — I have two, but the ones I'm wearing at the moment are full of holes and covered in paint. Not the sort of thing you want to be wearing if you were on your way to the shops to buy, say, wine. I think.

My proper jeans are hanging out on the line as I type — basking in the glorious sunshinem and (hopefully) drying.

I say "hopefully", because I need to go and get booze in the next half hour, otherwise I'm screwed

Well officer... you see, the reason why I am standing in Threshers in this big flouncy skirt is because I have simply nothing else to wear.....

And if you've going to have to wear a skirt, why not make it the biggest and flounciest you've got?

Do You Ever...

...have one of those days where you just completely get on a roll, and come out at the end of it with a (quite frankly) stunning bit of work?

I'm sat here, looking at the screen feeling rather chuffed with myself to be honest. It's not something I can show anyone yet, but hey, take it from me — it's a bit good.

It started out as an ambitious mock-up in Photoshop this morning, and to be honest, I didn;t actually intend on transfering it into code today — but I just kinda got on one, and I can't believe it actually worked.

This is though, I'm now looking at the other mock-up I did earlier, thinking (a) Bet I could do that as well, but (b) I need a drink.

I think it's safe to say that my days of all-nighters of my youth are well behind me — at least, when I don't have to do them.

Isn't it funny how you use a term you've not heard in a while and immediately see it somewhere else? In this case "all nighter".

Ooh, lush.

I know you can fly in SL and all, but it's kinda scary that you're not looking where your going while walking over the big gaps between the letters.

Yeah, but what's the worst that could haaaaaaaaaappppppppppppeeeeepppppppeeeeeeeeeennnnnnnnn?
