Hello smile

I'm Siobhan Curran/Kisa Naumova, and this is my weblog. I tend to write about stuff like crossdressing, Macs, code, cats, wine and Second Life, but in general it's just an ongoing conversation about all sorts of stuff. If you'd like to know a little bit more about what this all is, I recommend starting on this page which has a little bit of info on who I am, and what I'm trying to do — or you could dive into my five years worth of archives if you like.

Otherwise, feel free to close this box and explore...

Here's A Thought

Does your favourite webapp seem a little draconian in it's expressions of what's right or wrong?

Why not target your protests against the people that insisted it took a particular stance, instead of firing off blanks in a meaningless directiion?

Erm...can we get a teensy bit more context on this one, please?

I'm guessing various governments / Yahoo / Flickr and 'censorship'?

Yeah, sorry. The irony here being I've just given some sage advice to a student about posting things on the internets whilst pissed...

Not just Yahoo/Flickr I have to say — also Linden Lab. The whole hoo-hah recently about 'broadly offensive content', along with the current 'Flickr censorship' issue strikes me (who is, admittedly, uniformed) as being mainly the fault of over-zealous governments, spurred on by over-zealous 'concerned' residents.

So everypne's up in arms at Flickr and LL, when no-one seems to be bothering to go after (for example) the German government.

Like I said though — reactionary, uniformed post on my part. Plus I haven't got the energy to debate it today.

uniformed post

I love a post in a uniform

 You know what I meant

post uniform

Hmm. Close. But that's a uniformed postie.

All his letters seem to be the same size, so doesn't that make it uniform post?

(I'll close the door quietly on my way out)
