Hello smile

I'm Siobhan Curran/Kisa Naumova, and this is my weblog. I tend to write about stuff like crossdressing, Macs, code, cats, wine and Second Life, but in general it's just an ongoing conversation about all sorts of stuff. If you'd like to know a little bit more about what this all is, I recommend starting on this page which has a little bit of info on who I am, and what I'm trying to do — or you could dive into my five years worth of archives if you like.

Otherwise, feel free to close this box and explore...

taglink art

A round-up of stuff going on in the artworld — again, something I've been meaning to link to — it's put together by one of my students. I just love how the first article features Lost Vagueness — it's like my little worlds collide...

Luis Drayton — Cartoons And Art

"Luis Drayton — virtuoso artist, cartoonist and photomonteur combined!" — Luis (of Six Inch Killaz) has been shoving a ton of things online recently, and I keep forgetting to link to it.

Thank You

I just wanted to quickly say thank you for the comments yesterday. I'm OK, I think the thing that's bruised the most is my ego.

I'm still down in London, it's Pay Day tomorrow and I'm going to try and arrange with my bank to let me take out enough money (without any ID — could be tricky) to get a new ticket home.

I do keep finding new little sore spots on my body. I discovered some bruises on my chest earlier, for example, but the most painful parts of me are my legs and feet — not from getting beaten up, but from walking so far, so long.

Anyways, I don't want to go on about it. Just want to get on with things

Automounting Sharepoints at Startup

taglink network

Mount network shares properly on login — It used to be easy to do this in OS9 (and previous), but not any more. I googled this for Kim, but actually it's something I've been wondering about for a while

Virtuoso artist, cartoonist and photomonteur combined? Guess I shoulda added "egotist" to my description... All the same, thanks a bunch for the plug...

just read your story from yesterday, crap! it's like a real life nightmare, hope you're feeling better.

Hope SLUK was good, Babbages SLorpedo hack last week was great!

You know, the worst thing about taking an enforced sabbatical from reading other people's blogs — well, from any online presence — is the sure and certain knowledge that, once you start reading them again, some of them will have had a major bout of ill fortune. I'm sorry that happened to you.

I'm not quite in staggering distance from Central London, but close enough that it's only a short drive, so I could have rescued you from your great circular walk... not that you had my phone number, nor possibly the wherewithal to use it if you had (do they still do reverse charge phone calls? Not sure.)

I'm sure that you had a better breakfast at K's, though — the kitchen is not my natural domain.

Wha...?

I'm coming to this late, obviously, but I'm glad to hear you think you're okay. Are you sure, though? Might be worth seeing a GP once you get back to Lancaster.

I think I'd have headed for a police station....

Sorry to hear about the trouble in London, hope you feel better soon and don't get too much hassel getting home again.

I'm sure that you had a better breakfast at K's

Her eggs were unfeasibly yellow, it has to be said. And scrummy

I think I'd have headed for a police station...

D'ya know, that didn't even occur to me  It makes complete and logical sense, obviously, but at the time I don't think I was thinking straight.

Perhaps this is a throw-back to my upbringing, but I passed a couple of churches and considered trying to go in one of them. It's probably good that I didn't — I was so parched, I think I would have drunk the font.

I dunno — I was just in a mindset of "Must. Get. To. Friends".

don't get too much hassel getting home again

Thanks Tess. I'm home again now. I don't think I've ever been more glad to see Biscuit in my life.
