Hello smile

I'm Siobhan Curran/Kisa Naumova, and this is my weblog. I tend to write about stuff like crossdressing, Macs, code, cats, wine and Second Life, but in general it's just an ongoing conversation about all sorts of stuff. If you'd like to know a little bit more about what this all is, I recommend starting on this page which has a little bit of info on who I am, and what I'm trying to do — or you could dive into my five years worth of archives if you like.

Otherwise, feel free to close this box and explore...

Screensaver Panic

tagrandom

"I'm just going for some lunch", said I, grabbing my mouse and flinging the cursor to the bottom left of the screen.

I'm at work today, and even though there's not many people around, I get a bit paranoid about the prospect of people using my Macs. For a start, this one's conencted straight into the School server, and God knows what damage someone could do if they got their mits on it.

Secondly, perhaps against my better judgement, I tend to mix the usuage of these machines between 'work' and 'home', the result of which being that there are some very personal folders and photos scattered around here and there.

So, what I do whenever I'm leaving my office for a bit, is pop them into screensaver mode, and I've set it to require a password to unlock.

Except...

...that's a pain in the arse when I'm at home, so I disabled that on the laptop for the past couple of weeks.

As I was walking out of the door, something made me glance back over my shoulder. There, on my laptop's screens wasn't the comforting randomness of 'Flurry' that I was expecting. In it's place, the screensaver had defaulted back to it's default setting of showing pictures from my iPhoto library.

Two screens, full of me in lingerie.

Thank fuck the students aren't here.

Anyone so vain to have a screen saver of pictures of themselves in lingerie deserves everything they get.

But it was accidental, honestly

'Fraid I'm with Becky on this one — such a screen saver is an absolute gift to any passer-by with a camera-phone

Now wait just a minute here. I don't have a screensaver with photos of me on it. It's just the default screensaver to show photos from your iPhoto Library. Which just happens to contain photos of me in lingerie in it.

We believe you...........of course we do.

Do you really think your colleagues, when confronted with lingerie shots, are looking at the models face?

I do... Believe you!

(Can you put the photos up on Flickr so we can see what you're talking about?.. We also need to check for radiators. )
