Hello smile

I'm Siobhan Curran/Kisa Naumova, and this is my weblog. I tend to write about stuff like crossdressing, Macs, code, cats, wine and Second Life, but in general it's just an ongoing conversation about all sorts of stuff. If you'd like to know a little bit more about what this all is, I recommend starting on this page which has a little bit of info on who I am, and what I'm trying to do — or you could dive into my five years worth of archives if you like.

Otherwise, feel free to close this box and explore...

Who is aalex_hell? What is he up to? And why does he sometimes type "amswer"?

I suspect it's not his real name.

I suspect he uses cut and paste.

I suspect we've all had similar messages.

I suspect, he is a prallock.

If I am wrong on any of these, or if the real aalex_hell would like to stand up, you know where to get me.

1) A pseudonym.

2) Machine-gun posting in the hope of 'hitting' something.

3) "N" and "M" are next to each other on the keyboard.

In summary: just another flickr weirdo.

I also note (after a quick random survey) that none of his 'contacts' link back to him, so I guess I'm not alone in thinking he's a weirdo

Because I'm Worth It

I decided, today, to continue my little quest to find the perfect shampoo. Previously I've slopped Pantene 'Full and Thick' on my head (never lived up to the promise of massive volume), Tresemmé 'Deep Cleansing' (made my scalp all flakey), and Herbal Essences 'Citrus Boost' (quite good, but no orgasm in the shower)

I wasn't intending to, it's just I was in the shop earlier, and found myself completely unable to resist the raspberry-pink bottles of L'Oréal Elvive Nutri-gloss 'Pearl Protein'.

"Does your mid to long hair look dull?", it says, on the bottle. "Is it lacking shine, life and softness?" And I thought "Hey, I've got long hair, and it's quite dull. It is rather lacking in shine, life and softness. Maybe that's for me"

So, after two goes with the shampoo, and one splodge of conditioner, I'm left with this...

Elvive

Not bad, I think  The bottle (and the adverts, IIRC) says "Cashmere touch" — and d'ya know? It does feel rather smooth and silky. I wouldn't have said "cashmere" myself, but it's certainly not tweed.

But...

"Detangles instantly!", says the conditioner. And there I have to disagree. True it does detangle, but only after a good ten minutes of running my fingers through it, and five minutes with the brush after it's dried.

And, I dunno what's wrong with me, but I've reacted to it the same way as I did the Tresemmé, and my whole head looks like I've got serious dandruff.

I know, most likely everyone will recommend sticking with Herbal Essences — I just fancied having a try, y'know.

But, that's not really what this post is about. This post is about wishlists.

...

See, over the past few years, I have noticed a trend on fellow trannie-websites, to give details about the Things That We Want™, in the hope that some adoring rich man will succumb to our feminine allures, and fork out for a pair of knickers (or something).

And I thought, well, hang on a minute. For five and a half years now, I've been doling out mildly unirritating pieces of prose to all and sundry, without even the penny-trickling Google Adsense to compensate me for my time

"I want a piece of that", said my head, to me, a few hours ago.

The thing is though, no offence to my colleagues, but I think yous have all been a little unambitious in your desires. Some panties, maybe. Perhaps a bit of M.A.C. to tide you over for a month or two...

..."think big!" Is what I say. What's the point in demanding things that you can buy for yourself? The internets are very rich, go for the stuff you can't afford.

With that in mind, I hereby present to you all the things that I Think I Deserve For Being Nice And Vaguely Pretty™. Perhaps you could all club together or something...

John Galliano

(Seriously, I would love for to be let loose for a day in Ralph Lauren's storeroom, with a photographer and a make-up artist...)

PS. Just the dress in the last one plz. Not the socks

That last one looks like a ra-ra skirt that's been exposed to too much radiation  (might be tempted by the shoes — but in black patent please).

I guess the first one is my fave' — a nice twist on the classic 'little black dress'.

Kind of surprised there weren't more BFDs featured.

With my fine yet dense hair, that really doesn't like humidity, I've had great results with L'Oreal Smooth-Intense shampoo followed by the Pearl Protein conditioner. I get marginally less impressive results with the combination of Herbal Essences for normal hair (yellowy one, Yes Yes Yes!) followed by Tresemme conditioner for normal hair. It's a lot cheaper too, if you buy the 3-pack of Herbal Essence and the 5 litre bottle of Tresemme from Costco. But the Pearl Protein stuff really did make my hair feel and smell nice!

Each bottle contains fifty crushed pearls, don't ya know¹?

¹ I might have made that up

Volume is overrated. See my avatar for details...

I use Sunsilk Silky and Straight (for hair that tends to kink or frizz). Hair quality is nice, but in no way does it straighten or remove frizz. I'm not sure if anything short of an industrial press would straighten my hair.

Aussie 3-minute miracle is also highly recommended for those of you who suffer split ends.

You know, I found two split ends the other day. I have a grey hair to split end ratio of 500:2

Regardless of that, considering that I seem to be in a right precocious mood today, can someone please put me out of my misery and tell me that I'd look adorably fuckable in the third outfit?

Porting MAME to the iPhone — OMFG, this is the greatest thing of all time. I might actually buy one of the fucking things if I can play Space Invaders and Altered Beast on it (via Daring Fireball favicon)

Yeah, I can see you looking good in the third outfit, buy don't touch the blue monster with a barge pole.

I was told by a hair dresser that the more salt there was in it, try it by tasting a tiny bit on your tongue the more likely the shampoo would do damage to the hair.

Jane, are you actually asking me to eat shampoo? I swear, I'm starting to think you and Becky are just desperate for me not to come to your wedding...

Where did THAT come from?

I've tasted shampoos — it's never done me any harm.

Too many repsonses, all of them requiring a long series of emails explaining "that I didn't mean it"

Wait till you try her Chicken a-la Vosene. :-S

Pro Vitamin Beef-five?

I'll get me coat

@the shampoo-thing: I am testing myself through several conditioners in the moment (while using baby shampoo because there are less agressive chemicals in there) and I really liked the John Frieda Brilliant Brunette Conditioner. And despite the excellent result it contains no silicones which dry up hair and build up on it — leading to knots and damages.

I found the perfect solution to hair troubles about 6 years ago.

Goes by the name of Wahl, gives you a lovely velcro touch.

You are worth it. And I thought of you as soon as I was "tagged". So now you're 'tagged'.

Oh, 8 facts, 8 more links.

You'd look very fuckable in the third outfit if it didn't remind me of tweed. The cut is gorgeous but the fabric's all wrong. And shampoo/conditioner wise, i reckon that with herbal, it' gotta be the pink ones, and otherwise, it's simply a case of finding a nice thick and creamy conditioner, combing/brushing it in, and leaving it there for a good 5 mins or so. Shave or something in the meantime. Oh and beware of pantene and elvive, I'm fairly sure that one's radioactive (moreso than standard background noise) and the other makes it shiny by stripping a small layer off your hair (like silver polish).

I'm back from holiday and I finally have a computer again so I can read more of your shenanigans and ramblings — it's been strange not having access for a month

When did you get back? Are the kittles OK? Can I grab my lenses back?

First one and 5th one for me, the calssic dress and the pink extravaganza, quick as you like please.

I'm maybe not very observant but I never see that much difference in my hair whether I use clever shampoos or just soap, thought my 'Stylist' (daaahling) has threatened me if I use shower gel again.

Maybe I'll get the avatar right this time, the Mame on the Iphone sounded cool, but I saw on the Mame website it's been on Pocket PC platforms since 2001 might give that a bash.

Been back a week, but I hadn't had a computer — everyone's fine — give me a call and we can sort ou your lenses (thanks)
