Hello
I'm Siobhan Curran/Kisa Naumova, and this is my weblog. I tend to write about stuff like crossdressing, Macs, code, cats, wine and Second Life, but in general it's just an ongoing conversation about all sorts of stuff. If you'd like to know a little bit more about what this all is, I recommend starting on this page which has a little bit of info on who I am, and what I'm trying to do — or you could dive into my five years worth of archives if you like.
Otherwise, feel free to close this box and explore...
Looking Back
Two years ago today, I walked off of Orientation Island looking like I do on the right, completely unaware that my life was about to change forever. There were less than fifty thousand resis on the grid, the client was at version 1.6, and the Big New Thing was Quicktime streaming.
What I remember most from that day though, was the first person to friend me — a certain enthusiastic avie, wearing an enormous watermelon-esque bright pink and green hat.
(It took me a few hours to sort myself out and get prim hair — in fact, I'm still wearing the same hair that I bought that day. It took me a lot longer to do something about my enormous hands)
...
Just a quick quote though, from something I wrote a few days later:
I'm not about to turn this into a Second Life blog
Sorry. I lied ![]()
Hey, you know what? I don't think I've ever thanked you properly for getting me into SL
If it hadn't been for you, I wouldn't now have two years of great memories, and a friends-list full of wonderful people.
Thanks K ![]()
Handbrake Cable
This is what the scraping noise my car's been making for the past couple of days was. The dent in the real wheel rim was catching against the handbrake cable, which the guy at the garage has cable-tied out of the way for me.
Fortunately, we caught it before it had damaged the cable itself.
Happy birthday whippersnapper!
Glad to see you got the brake cable sorted so you might reach 1065 days too
Ach; just put a Coke can round it; it'll be fine.
Heh — that was my most spectacular bodge, evah ![]()
@El — thanks ![]()
