Hello
I'm Siobhan Curran/Kisa Naumova, and this is my weblog. I tend to write about stuff like crossdressing, Macs, code, cats, wine and Second Life, but in general it's just an ongoing conversation about all sorts of stuff. If you'd like to know a little bit more about what this all is, I recommend starting on this page which has a little bit of info on who I am, and what I'm trying to do — or you could dive into my five years worth of archives if you like.
Otherwise, feel free to close this box and explore...

Because I'm Worth It
Sorry — just indulging myself a little
Figured I'd continue my 'man with long hair discovering the joys of products' thing by having a stab at Aussie 3 Minute Miracle — which promises to help "deeply moisturise, revitalise and nourish your long hair".
I'm becoming a lot more skeptical in my old age. Once was the time when I would coo excitedly at the fanciful claims on packaging — things purporting to "change your life" with just one application. I'd chuck wadges of 'stuff' at my hair, my face, my toilet in the hope of some miraculous transformation — to smooth, zit-free, or not-smelly — only to go through all the steps and discover that the outcome was "a bit shit".
But. OMG. My hair has never — in all of the three years it's been since I last had it cut — felt so gorgeous. Seriously, you could knit a pair of booties out of it for your niece and not worry it they were going to scratch her. Even the ends which, whilst still not having developed any splits or anything, have been feeling a little 'straw-like' of late.
Dear Aussie,
Me like.
Love, Siobhan
That was great! It's really nice to have a personal connection with somewhere.
I think your suggestion about the factories is marvelous! The steel works in and around Sheffield and Rotherham all disappeared, and the pits around North Notts and South Yorks, too. I don't know of any photos, or records of their existence. Those steel works were impressive; I can still visibly recall when I first saw huge blocks of iron ore, glowing red and yellow and orange, even white in places. The heat was incredible.
Just recently we had a sanitorium collapse near here. I wanted to take photos of it, but it was gone before I got around to it; the building literally just fell over! And now a neat art-deco ice cream place (on Rt40 in South Jersey) is about to be torn down. I'm going to take pics of that real soon!
Good luck! And what a great idea!

That is so cool! I had a similar Flickr experience, when a crowd scene I'd photographed led to a bunch of comments / notes a la "I know that person! Please put us in touch again!"
I didn't know them, though, so no match.com from me!
