Hello smile

I'm Siobhan Curran/Kisa Naumova, and this is my weblog. I tend to write about stuff like crossdressing, Macs, code, cats, wine and Second Life, but in general it's just an ongoing conversation about all sorts of stuff. Twelve/Sixteen

Sixteen years ago (roughly) I drove down the M6 to Lancaster for the first time¹, parked my little red Mini in Pendle car park, and reluctantly began what I thought was going to be a year's break from the pleasantries of Ambleside.

Twelve years ago (to the day), I turned the little boat-shaped key in the door of my house for the first time, and spent the initial few minutes of my time on the property ladder running around in a giddy state of excitement about owning light fixtures.

Holy crap! You're like I am. You agonize over decisions for ages, then make one in the blink of an eye. Congrats!

I know you've kinda sorta wanted this for a long time and I think it's gonna be good for you. The old house is well documented. It's not falling into the anals of history anytime soon. :tongue:

Thanks guys :smile: I'm now frantically running around my house with a vaccum cleaner, trying to get it tidy because I invited a few people around for a drink tonight.

I must admit, I'm quite nervous — yet excited — by all this. I'm suddenly starting to realise just how many things there are to do when changing address — phone, gas, 'lecky...

It's little things that are confusing though — like, do I take myself of the Electoral Register for here? Should I have told the DVLA that my address has changed (even though it hasn't yet) when I just ordered a replacement photocard there now? At what point should I get my DSL switched to the new address?

Which reminds me. This site is going to go down at some point in the next few weeks. I'm wondering if I should try and make something temporary for the meantime.

I think the best course of action would be to totally ignore everything, expecting it to miraculously fall into place all by itself, until you've got to be out in 24 hours. Then run around like a loony on extra-strength loon pills, shouting, "Feck!"

You know; like what you usually do :biggrin:

On no account should you make a well thought out plan and stick to it — that would spoil all the fun (and deprive you of blog anecdotes). :wink:
