Hello smile

I'm Siobhan Curran/Kisa Naumova, and this is my weblog. I tend to write about stuff like crossdressing, Macs, code, cats, wine and Second Life, but in general it's just an ongoing conversation about all sorts of stuff. If you'd like to know a little bit more about what this all is, I recommend starting on this page which has a little bit of info on who I am, and what I'm trying to do — or you could dive into my five years worth of archives if you like.

Otherwise, feel free to close this box and explore...

Well, It's A Start At Least

This would be easier with boxes. I need boxes

(Usual story — click to play and all that sort of thing)

I just get a 'broken' quicktime icon when I click — then Firefox hangs

Oddness. Trust me, it's a piece of cinematic history you're missing

Love your expression at the end of the clip

Heheh — Thanks Dave. What's not really obvious, is that inside, I'm grinning from ear to ear.

Hmmm, it seems to crash all of my browsers roughly 90% of the time. Apple's Quicktime plugins for Windows have taken a rapid downturn in stability of late so I'd lay the blame there myself.

OK — Quicktime update seems to have sorted it...

...cinematic history...

Not exactly Kurosawa — but then you haven't got the cast

 Your face at the end — just when it comes into shot. You look like a manic pixie!

Staples sell boxes they are stackable too.

Staples sell boxes

Yeah, we bought quite a few boxes from staples when we moved.

great video... good luck with the rest of the packing!

Cool ... nice to see you in video — a momentous occasion.

Many congratulations with the move — it looks nice — good luck with the cats settling in.

Oops ... thick me ... just realised that this is Lancaster — oh well ... looking forward to seeing Leeds. Duh!

Well you could always go the online route if you get desperate, boxshop and removal-Boxes seem ok, saved them from someone in my del.icio.us network, so no idea if they are any good, also have you looked at those self storage places most of them also sell packing type things.

Thank you for these  Yeah — I've a few options I think. I mean, to be perfectly honest, I should have sorted this all out during the week — rather than a randomly quick Google yersterday evening.

This evening though, I've managed to get almost every item of clothing into five great big binbags. So I'm going to take them over tomorrow.

I mean, after all, it's the clothing that's the (second third¹) most important thing. Huh?

¹ 1: cats. 2: macs. 3: frocks. Or maybe frocks second. Ack. Something like that

Even after updating my quicktime player I still get:

"Couldn't open the file "its-a-start.mp4" because an unknown error occurred. The number of the error is -8971"

I even tried Realplayer

I must confess, I used a different encoding process than my automatic one that I usually use — seeing as my kit is spread over two sites. It's an MPEG4 with the h.264 codec, if that helps. Maybe just downloading the file itself might work

Skeletons In Your Closet

Nice little video, although I did think it needs some Benny Hill like music to go with it!

Hope the moving is going smoothly for you.

Heheh, I did a video like that of Jane and me on our last big tidy-up at her place. I just casually left the laptop open with the iSight camera facing the room and iMovie running in slow-frame mode. I think they've left that feature out of iMovie 08, shame!

I love the name Tranniefesto and all, but I'm thinking you should probably change it to "Cats; Macs; Frocks."

I consider the shot of a pile of clothes to be a tease! Show us more! Especially that ivory coloured skirt/dress!

Something by Scott Joplin would accompany that video quite well!

And yes: let's see more of that ivory dress! It looks quite delectable.

Carolyn Ann

The 'ivory dress' is this one — I'm surprised you don't recognise it

PS. I am still around. Lots is going on. The move is in progress, but not going as smoothly as I'd like. Regardless of that though, I just thought I'd mention that, well, not wanting to be majorly cryptic or anything, but I am a considerably massive ball of happiness at the moment.

Maybe your crypticness needs a promotion? Generally cryptic?

Sorry...

Carolyn Ann

PS Nice dress; it looks nice on you. Any more pics? I'd like to see the entire thing!

Good for you — I don't begrudge you any of it; but I am slightly jealous.

Hope all is going well with the move etc etc. I am new to your site, must say its a thoroughly interesting read.
