Hello smile

I'm Siobhan Curran/Kisa Naumova, and this is my weblog. I tend to write about stuff like crossdressing, Macs, code, cats, wine and Second Life, but in general it's just an ongoing conversation about all sorts of stuff. If you'd like to know a little bit more about what this all is, I recommend starting on this page which has a little bit of info on who I am, and what I'm trying to do — or you could dive into my five years worth of archives if you like.

Otherwise, feel free to close this box and explore...

Erin is in Leeds

Hello. This is Erin. If you happen to be one of those people who have been reading my blog for the past five years, you'll know that Erin is my server — the one I host my blog on. You'll also know that Erin has been in Lancaster for the whole of those five years, and as well as that, that my normal blog has been offline for the past two weeks.

It was the AirPort basestation that crashed. Basically.

Thau and I have been in Lancaster for the past couple of days. We hired a car (a remarkably easy thing to do, it seems), and trotted across the Pennines back to Where I Used To Live A Month Ago™.

It's funny, really. The house just felt wrong somehow. It was empty — bereft of cats for a start — but also furniture, coffee, food — the kind of stuff that usually is there.

Oh, and plants.

Seriously it was weird, arriving back there (a) in a car not my own, (b) to no little monsters demanding food, (c) to an (almost) empty house, and (d) not single.

Actually, maybe that was the weirdest of the lot.

Anyway, we had fun, saw friends, ate seriously good food (partridge) and (natch) got very drunk. We woke my old neighbour up at 3am for example.

...

Almost all of my shit is now here in Leeds. Including all the wireless network bits that I usually had. In a few days, I'll get everything set up how it used to be, and things should be back to normal.

Except, not normal. New. New and weird.

But weird in a good way.

...

Did everyone see Rachel in the Guardian yesterday by the way? How good was that?

Things To Do Tomorrow

tagrandom list

  1. Plug Erin in

(Because as much as I like this retro-blog aesthetic, I miss my header image)

  2. By lots of Stuff To Eat™ at the shops. And take advantage of car.

  3. Take bottles to bottle bank.

(Four weeks into the new flat, I have a large deposit to make)

  4. Buy every Beechams packet in Morrisons.

(Because I have managed to give Amiee my lurgy)

I have no idea who she is, but I take it you mean the gorgeous person that was talking about the old Ident. Kits.

x

It was happy very me making! Eventually...

Thanks for putting me onto them Ms Curran, I owe ya a drink for that!

@ Jessica, yeah I was the idenikit tranny (that sounds bad doesn't it? but I can't think how to word it better).

I know, I know, this is like a week late or something, but I've been away and someone's blog was acting up just as she got it back online......
