Gah. What is wrong with me that I can't seem to convey to other people what it is that I actually want, and always end up getting midly stressed and feeling disappointed?

I have been to London, as the increasingly random (and sweary) photographs from yesterday have probably indicated (sorry about those BTW - I was a bit drunk). It was a bit of an inpromptu trip - hence me not letteing anyone know that I was coming down, and completely failing to catch up with a large list of people I need to see.
There's some great stuff on BBC4 tonight, if you're a sad fuck like I am, and like documentaries about cars and roads.
How whenever you ring up your bank when you're in a bit of a pickle, your call seems to get answered by someone who's been trained to the level of a Ninja in the Art Of Patronising™, but when you're Doing Rather Well Thankyouverymuch™ you get straight through to the happy smiley bloke with a joyous lust for Monday mornings.
Ever applied for a driving license from the DVLA? Those guys are so fussy about how you fill in the form. You've got to get absolutely everything spot-on, or they send it back to you with big red circles on the things you got wrong.

Well, actually, just bulbs. But I couldn't pass up the opportunity to mention the title of a book that I had when I was a kid, a book that I was reminded of recently, and a book that I wholeheartedly blame for my transvestism.

Without my usual internetty-distractions, I was suprisingly productive. I did, of course, continue writing about stuff - mostly grumblings about how I was disconnected - and I got a chunk of Uni-work out of the way, but I also made a significant start into getting the house ready for selling.
