OK, look. I know that I should have got in contact with George's insurers straight after he died and cancelled his policy, but FFS, you'd have thought that there'd be some kind of system in place to notice when a claims been made for "cremation", it's unlikely that the cat is going to get better.
My cat (Tish, not Biscuit), is (as I'm forever pointing out) partly feral. Or at least his mother was. Or something.
This is mostly irrelevant, but I ended up staying up to well past 2am last night, watching the Cream Reunion on BBC4. The only relevance is that it goes someway to explain why I was not at my best when the postman knocked on the door half an hour ago, and gave me a bundle of letters and a parcel.
The problem with having a feral cat is that you so can't rely on him.
I have, in the past, mentioned my first cat - Cabbage. She wasn't the first cat I ever had - I think that one was called "Fluff", and I had her when I was about 6 - but she was the first cat I ever had in this house.
