These are all the things in Siobhan's archives tagged as "work". If you want to narrow it down, you can use more than one tag, seperating them with a space.
I am, I think, on record in a fair few places as being someone who finds the practice of replicating Real Life environments in Second Life to be a bit tedious.

This is most likely of no interest to anyone at all. It's just something that struck me the other day, and I thought I'd write it down. You'll have to excuse the self-indulgent navel-gazing (again), but I've spent most of the morning re-writing my CV and I'm in that kinda mood.
I'm sure it's not something that crosses anyone else's mind ecept my own, but I do get very aware/concerned when my writing trails off into irrelevent silence.

Once a year, the Divine Order Of Them Upstairs™ un-mothball the University Tent, park it up in Leeds, and trot our Proud And Happy™ students through the eternal treadmill known more colloquially as "Graduation".
On Thursday night, I got a bit drunk ... actually, very drunk. So drunk in fact that I didn't manage to leave for work until midday.

Rather excited today :) Got an email from my gallery who have announced that they're ready to go live at the end of the month. That means from the 28th of January, my work will be on sale.
I am stressed out about work. I kinda just want to curl up into a little ball
As much as I realise that the minute I start posting images and movies from Second Life, half a million[1] blog-readers lie back in their chair, let out a collective *yawn*, and flip over to something less tedious, I'm dead chuffed with what I've been doing recently :-p
I think it's fairly safe to say, that despite all my futile efforts to retain some air of mystery and anonymity over the years, a few careless links to things that I've done have made it totally obvious which of the two universities in Leeds I teach at.
(1) Riding on my clutch in a traffic jam outside of Ilkley yesterday morning, I started to slide backwards.
I'm a great fan of word-play - in particular, things that mean other things on several different levels. In a slightly-related theme, that little graphic of mine, the one over there on the left, is a prime example of this - I've never really explained what it's all about (I may never, actually), but it's symbolic of several different things.

Issue five of the Art Journal what I make - I should have linked to this weeks ago  I know it's not up everyone's street, but if you look at no other pieces, you HAVE to watch "Peaman". Utter genius :)
Just a quickie :) I'm about to go to a seminar here called "Beyond Wikis and Blogs" which promises to "examine the phenomena referred to in popular media as Web 2.0 [...] and how the rise in this kind of technology and practice will impact on higher education"
Whoo! Excitement! Fundrasing!
I know I was only in for two days this week, but it's felt like a long one. I think this has a lot to do with the excesses of the weekend.
In keeping with what's becoming a well-established, and possibly expected tradition, this post will (a) make no sense, (b) contain repeatedly tedious references to bits of code and Things That I Am Working On™, (c) be proliferated with self-congratulatory nonsense, and (d) only at the very end will it have anything that remotely would suggest that you're reading the weblog of a transvestite.
Sunday evenings are usually, for me at least, a relaxing affair - a time to kick off my heels (like I ever wear heels...), put my feet up, and relax with a bottle (or two) of wine and a carton of Marlboros, safe in the knowledge that I have a whole day to follow where I can Get Stuff Done™.
A small snapshot of what's going on right now.
You may recall me mentioning (once or twice) that I'm an artist. As with most things in life, I'm a bit rubbish at actually organising things, and as a result, most of my work languishes either in my studio, or still on my hard disk. Consequently, I was rather pleased to be asked to submit some of my work to an online gallery - because they would handle all the actual business side of things.
Well, slightly later than I expected, they've gone live
(Just continuing my little "All the films I've made in the past" series)
